Project Name: Chile Pavilion for Dubai Expo 2020
The structure of the Chile pavilion is made of steel anchored to the ground on one of the sides, it contains a perimeter of steel beams to contain the grid of wooden that are self-supporting to produce the curvature of the vault that forms the total of the Pavilion.
Brightest floor lagoon: it consists of a floor made of galvanized steel in a 20x20mm grid, raised 600mm above the public level. Under its tread, there is a moving water bed 100mm deep. Between this lagoon and galvanized steel grid, there are three mechanical devices: a series of small slow-pass fans to distribution of moist and fresh air from the lagoon into the environment, vaporizers that generate an occasional cool mist and an ambient lighting system reflection by installing linear LED spotlights. These elements will form a synchronized choreography of their territory, different environments, geography, food, ethnicity, sustainability.
